Sunday, November 2nd from 10am to 5pm.  This is an annual event for the Shemer Art Center, on the southeast corner of Camelback Road and Arcadia Drive.  This year it will also be part of the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Shemer Art Center when then Mayor Terry Goddard accepted the generous gift to the City of Phoenix  of the Shemer property from Martha Shemer.

About the Event

Sunday at Shemer is a fine art and music festival for the entire family. The festival attracts morethan 5,000 attendees who take pleasure and showcase over 45 artist exhibits.

Admission to the festival is $ 5.00 per person. There will be no charge for children 5 and under. Admission includes access to local vendors, live music from valley entertainers, a fine art silent auction, and artist demonstrations. Event hours are 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.

ACMNA will have a booth, recruiting new members, signing up volunteers for the Camelback Road Clean-up, and promoting the concept for the Walter Bimson Memorial Sculpture Garden and Park at 44th Street and Camelback Road.

CAMELBACK ROAD FALL CLEAN-UP WALK

Saturday, November 8th at 8:00 am from the Shemer Art Center parking lot.  This is a semi-annual ACMNA event as part of the Adopt-A-Street program.  Arcadia neighbors join members of the ACMNA Board policing both sides of Camelback Road from 44th Street to Invergordon Road.  Multiple teams each take segments of the road, so the walk is not too long.  Pick-up trucks follow each team to load the trash collected and to drive the teams back to the starting point at the Shemer parking lot.  The more volunteers we have the quicker the job gets done.  Coffee, rolls, and bottled water will be available at the start of the walk, compliments of the Arcadia Safeway.

Come join your neighbors in a good old-fashioned gesture of civic pride in our neighborhood, get to meet other neighbors, and enjoy a delightful walk on a comfortable fall morning.  For more information call Kraig Davis at 480.421.7117.
